What each one does best

One standout from each platform, read from the vendors' own pricing pages. Answer the three questions up top and these turn into four numbers for your match.

10,000
subscribers free, on Kit

Kit carries 10,000 subscribers on its free plan, with a real welcome sequence and unlimited landing pages.

$15
for a staffed phone line, on AWeber

AWeber publishes a number and staffs it 24/7 on its $15/mo plan — the only phone support on this page.

0
send caps, on Moosend

Moosend never caps sends on any plan, so segmenting heavily and mailing each segment costs nothing extra.

1
plan with every feature, on Benchmark

Benchmark sells one Pro plan with everything switched on — nothing to decode before your first send.

Kit and AWeber were read on 6 August 2026, Moosend and Benchmark Email on 23 August 2026.

The short answer

There isn't one winner here — there are four, each the best at a different thing. Find yourself in one of these and you can stop reading.

Four benefits each, and how they compare

The case for each platform in four points — and beside every point, how it stacks up against the other three, from the same published figures as the table below.

Latest from the platforms we track

Pricing and features in this category move constantly, and most comparison pages never get updated. Here's what has actually changed at each platform, and when.

The detail behind each pick

Plan ladders, what's gated where, and the thing each vendor's marketing page doesn't lead with.

How we compare

Every figure on this page traces back to a vendor's own pricing page. Here's how we put it together.

01

Vendor pricing pages first

Every price here was read off the vendor's own published tier table, not a third-party review. Where a vendor doesn't publish a figure, we say so instead of interpolating and presenting a guess as fact.

02

Matched tiers, not matched names

"Entry plan" means something different at each vendor. We compare by capability — the cheapest plan with unlimited automations, say — because that's the comparison that changes a decision.

03

Ties are allowed to be ties

We name a better pick on every row, but several genuinely end in a draw and a few aren't comparable at all. Manufacturing one would devalue the rows where the difference is real.

04

The commission doesn't pick the row

We earn a commission from all four platforms, so no row is called for the money. Each pick goes to whichever platform leads on that row's published figure, and where a row is a genuine tie or can't be compared, it says so.

Pricing last read from vendor sites 6–23 August 2026 · Spotted a change? Tell us and we'll update it

Every figure was read from the vendor's own pricing or feature page — Kit and AWeber on 6 August 2026, Moosend and Benchmark Email on 23 August 2026. The "Category winner" column is an editorial judgement, and where a row can't be fairly compared we say so rather than inventing one.

Still deciding?

Three of the four have a free plan — Kit to 10,000 subscribers, AWeber to 500, Benchmark to 500 — and Moosend runs a 30-day trial with no card. Trying two of these costs nothing but an afternoon.
